Change of the treasurer

Our longtime treasurer Hans-Joachim Heise resigned at the end of the year 2009. Thank you very much for your good and reliable work. All the best, dear Hans-Joachim, from the board.

Aufruf: Einreichung von digitalen Bildern


Für die Illustration eines Kulturbeitrages zu den Ascleps für die Zeitschrift Avonia werden schöne Bilder blühender Pflanzen folgender Arten / Themen gesucht:

● Huernia aspera
● Huernia zebrina
● Tromotriche revoluta
● einige silbrig gefärbte „Tridenteas“
● Quaqua mammillaris
● Orbea semota
● Orbea carnosa
● Orbeas mit langzähnigen Trieben
● Piaranthus globosus
● Stapelia gigantea
● Duvalien, Carallumen, Stapelien

Die Auswahl der Bilder bleibt der Redaktion vorbehalten, da wir (leider) nicht alle Bilder drucken können auf Grund begrenzter Seitenzahl.
Die Nennung des Bildautors bei Abdruck ist selbstverständlich. Auf Wunsch sind 1 bis 2 Freiexemplare bei Abdruck möglich.

Establishment of a library of our society

The board of our society has decided unanimously that Andreas Lochner, Hasselroth/Germany, lays out the library of the society. The objective will be exchange of journals with other societies and making these journals available to our members. In addition,  books and journals will also be collected from any kind of donations.

To become a reality we have created library usage guidelines that can be found online at www.fgas-sukkulenten.de. The guidelines will be published in printed form in the next issue of the journal Avonia.

You can also download our library catalogue there. Most journals included in this list are from journal-exchange and from Cornelis Versteeg’s estate.

Your donations are welcome – duplicates of books or journals as well as donations.
