The Internet presence of the German Society for the other succulents “FgaS” has a shop now!
We invite you cordially to visit our newly opened shop on our website! Finally we could fulfil this desire. Thanks to the untiring efforts of our “Web Crew“ it’s managed: the shop can be opened. It has the special service that you can search completely in the abstracts – with this, the shop is becoming by the way a kind of search function for all the issues that our Society “FgaS” has published until now.
We already have ideas in the background and in progress, which will increase the attractiveness of the shop once more – take pot luck! Certainly we will also report in the Avonia news about news, so you will not miss anything. Naturally we will willingly accept your suggestions and wishes for the newly opened shop.

On 06 March 2010 the Board of the German Society for the other succulents “Fachgesellschaft andere Sukkulenten e.V.” (FgaS) has decided to risk the attempt to originate again the interest group IG-Mesembs. We are trying to gather interested parties and to find fellow campaigners to lead a little bit this organisation.

Call: Submission of digital images For the illustration of an article concerning the ascleps in our magazine Avonia, we are looking for beautiful images of blooming plants of the following species / themes:
● Huernia aspera
● Huernia zebrina ● Tromotriche revoluta ● some silver-colored „Tridenteas“ ● Quaqua mammillaris ● Orbea semota ● Orbea carnosa ● Orbeas with long shoots ● Piaranthus globosus ● Stapelia gigantea ● Duvalia, Caralluma, Stapelia
The choice of the images remains reserved for the editors, because we can not print all images (unfortunately), due to limited number of pages.
The author of the image is naturally mentioned in the case of imprint. If desired, 1 to 2 complimentary copies are available in the case of imprint.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the “German Society of the other succulents“ (FgaS) in 2010
The AGM will take place on October 9, 2010 (Arrival from 8 october) at the inn Gasthof „Zur Linde“ (proprietor M. Kraus), Wernaustr.7, 36093 Künzell-Pilgerzell (near Fulda). From 9 to 10 October 2010 there will be a supporting program.
The AGM of the DKG will take place on June 5, 2010 in the Wolf-Eberstein-Halle, Am Freizeitgelände 5, 76461 Muggensturm statt. From 5 to 6 June 2010 there will be a supporting program.
